About Me

Hey everyone! I'm Phoenix - an introvert who digs warm, positive vibes.

My journey with Couchsurfing began right here in Las Vegas! I was working on the Strip when I met some travelers who belonged to the community. We became friends and I decided to join, too!

Since then, I have had the pleasure of surfing on 2 couches, celebrating xmas with the CS community in Melbourne, meeting locals in Geneva, CH, sharing wild and memorable adventures in Vegas, and welcoming people into my home.

I love the true spirit behind Couchsurfing, and I enjoy meeting other people who also value community, hospitality, reciprocity, and cultural exchange.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I suddenly found myself nostalgic over the "good old days" of Couchsurfing.

It seems to have changed a lot since Covid and I'm curious to see how it's going. It would also be nice to connect with people outside of my world and to possibly make a new CS friend.

I am busy between work and school at the moment, but I would be open to meeting up on a less busy day.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music I like is all over the place. And I'm not familiar with anything new. Help!

I collect John Steinbeck's books. Hopefully, one day, I will actually read them. :p

My last read was: "Fall of Civilizations: Stories of Greatness and Decline" by Paul Cooper. Great book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Preparing and delivering food to homeless communities

Volunteering in the refugee camp in Calais

Going out in the desert to find the wild horses

Jumping off of a boat into the Sea of Cortez without knowing how to swim!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to tie a bowline knot, the basics of bachata dancing, and yoga

I can share a meal at my table and my time

I'm happy to learn about your travels, skills, language and culture

What I Can Share with Hosts

Back in the day, it seemed common for surfers to offer hosts souvenirs from their countries or a thoughtful parting gift. I love this custom and definitely intend to keep it alive if and when I ever need a couch.

Countries I’ve Visited
