ABOUT ME

Very calm and level headed for the most part, but am subject to occasional fits of excited inspiration, mostly over good conversation or creative collaboration. I'm a lover of people, but also enjoy my own space and time. I write and record music in my spare time and thoroughly enjoy cooking (especially for large groups)
I have also volunteered time on two farms in Colorado, driven by a desire to have a connection to my food. I raised 40 chickens in a coop I built, and grew veggies in a greenhouse I helped build. Very rewarding work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this site from several close friends that I've traveled cross country with. My hope is to participate on every level I can, both surfing and hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met nothing but great people in my stays on the couches of the world! Some were planned while others were entirely spontaneous generous acts by complete strangers. I'd have to say I like the latter more because you never know what a stranger can teach you.

Balkan music, Dixieland, Ragtime, Busking musicians, Delta Blues, and experimental music. My favorite books are The Razors Edge and Love in the Time of Cholera. My favorite movie is Paper Moon.

I left home at 16 to explore my path in life, which has since taken me overseas and across the face of most of America and which has taught me more than I could ever show enough gratitude for.

I recently attended a Balkan Music Camp and gained experience with that tradition. I think I can teach anyone the basics of music. I also have some food growing skills.
