Welcome to Our Family in Rome!
We are a family of four living in Rome: myself, my French partner Samantha, and our two children, ages 8 and 9. I work part-time as a school janitor and also for a French institution that deals with archaeology and history. Samantha works for another French institution that promotes the French language and culture.

Your Stories Are the Best Gift
With two kids and our work commitments, our days are very full, so we probably won't be able to spend a lot of time with you. However, when we do get the chance, we would love to take a walk with you through the historic streets of the Eternal City.

This is our first couchsurfing experience, which is why we decided to host only girls and women with children. We are happy to welcome, when possible, a mother with a son or daughter; girls; women; or couples of girls or women from the USA, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, India, and Jamaica. In short, all good English speakers are welcome.

Before you stay with us, we'll ask to have a video chat on WhatsApp. It will be a good chance for us to get to know each other a little better before we meet.

Practical Information and House Rules
You will have a sofa bed in our living room. You don't need to bring us any gifts; for us, the best gift is your stories and your smiles. However, if you feel the need, a small souvenir magnet from your city would make us happy!

To ensure a smooth and pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you respect these simple house rules:

Shoes must be left at the entrance.

The evening at 10:30 PM you must be home. We know this may seem restrictive on vacation, but please be patient-we are a family with children!

In the morning, please leave the house before 8:00 AM so we can take the kids to school and go to work.
Please note: during June, July, and August, our hours are much more flexible.

We do not provide house keys, so please do not ask for them.

Usually we listen french radio or music on spotify. We have not tv in the house, we prefer books, music, radio.
