I am a drilling fluids specialist in the oil in gas industry, residing in the Great State of Texas. Whenever I have free time I enjoy finding new and different foods, restaurants, events, gatherings...etc to hit up. When I travel, I like to go out and see what the area is all about. This usually means leaving the tourist spots and going where the locals frequent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to experience a new place is threw the food, drinks, and music. Through couchsurfing, I hope to get a more authentic trip experience. Being taken to a someones favorite little hole in the wall is almost always better than Expedia's "Top 10 restaurants to try in...."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say one of the best times I've had was going to wine country in South Africa. It may be one of the beautiful, fun, and tastiest trips I have ever been on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy the whole experience of trying out new wines, and love learning about and teaching about wines. I have had some experience conducting wine tastings. It is always a good time when everyone has something new to bring to the table.
I would really like to start learning how to cook at least one dish from every place that I visit.
