I'm from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, south western France close to Spain.
Now I live in Metz (Lorraine), eastern France, for my new job. So, my holidays are often in Central Europe and Balkans now, mostly by Inter Rail 😎

BEST TRAVELLING ANECDOTES :

🇧🇬 Plovdiv (BG), march 2023 :
My arrival in Plovdiv, in a referenced youth hostel which was open, but still abandonned : the door felt when I opened. Inside, it was a mess but it really looked like a hostel, with a reception (empty) and a drinks distributor. No one was inside, but there was stuff proving that some people were living there. They were in fact no humans inside, but only cats at the entrance outside 🐈🐈‍⬛😹 (did you already try to check-in in a hostel managed by cats ?)

🇷🇴 Videle (RO), march 2023 :
After a Night Train taken in Budapest, I had a full morning to wait in Videle (1 hour west from Bucureşti) for a train to reach Ruse in Bulgaria. There was a crazy cold wind and funny wild dogs. In a café near the station, escaping the wind, I took a coffee with locals who were drinking rosé wine at 8 am. One of them was already completely drunk and was yelling strongly "ROSÉ ! ROSÉ !" (you must see it to believe it). I will never know if he was drinking since the last evening or just beginning the day !

🇭🇺🇸🇰 Esztergom (H) and Šturovo (SK), may 2022 :
After my visit of Esztergom, I crossed a Duna bridge to enter in Šturovo, where I had to take a train to go back to Budapest by Nagymaros side to see the famous Visegrad's forteress. I was so surprised by the local people. Why ? They only speak magyar (hungarian) in this slovakian town 😳. Even my hair cutter (I was enough crazy to make cut my hair there 😁). Fortunately, I had some magyar screenshots, including the numbers 👍🏻

🇵🇪 Cuzco (PE), june 2016 :
Visit of the top of Cusco (4 km altitude) by horse riding, having 2 local kids as guides.
At the beginning, they left me alone in the middle of nowhere to pick up more guests. But they didn't tell me ! So, I had time to ask myself if I'd better get down. But what about the horse then ?!
Very nice tour at the top of this pretty andine city. The kids were sons of a man who told me about this tour near a church I visited. It means that it was not foreseen for me to make this gorgeous horse riding tour. This man was an artcraft worker. Then, he even brought me one of his homemade objects in the hostel where I stayed.

🇨🇱 Desert and green lands (CL), august 2015 :
Riding in the dryest desert in the world (Atacama) and then visiting the rainy Chiloe Island in a same week and in a same country (incredible Chile)

🇨🇱 Antofagasta (CL), september to november 2015 :
Learning the " very particular" chilean spanish while being an international student there (from september 2015 to august 2016). I needed 2 months to understand it and being able to use it fluently !
Me encanta el accento chileno 😄

🇵🇪 Puno (PE), june 2016 :
Visit of Uros Islands on the Titicaca Lake close to Puno with a native of these islands met in the harbour. More authentical than the turistic drakars. And then, sharing lunch with his family in one of these very particular islands.

🇩🇪 Hannover (D), september 2021 :
Arriving in Hannover, asking my way to 2 local girls with my german beginner level. They directly answered me in french 😅

🇩🇰 Ãrhus and Midjylland (DK), september 2021 :
The city of smiles, youngest city in Europe, its crazy amazing vibes and cute surroundings 🤗

🇨🇭 🇦🇹 🇭🇺 From Zürich (CH) to Budapest (H) crossing all Austria with the best European Inter City Train Company in may 2022 :
Crossing Austria with RAILJET to reach Budapest from Zurich. Defenetely my favorit train company ! So nice vibes during all this long journey 🚇

🇧🇬 First day in Bulgaria, march 2023 :
Visiting rocks monasteries in Ivanovo and Basarbovo and then many places in Ruse (north Bulgaria) in a same day with many different weathers : wind and sun, then clouds, the snow and then sun without wind. Very nice and crazy spring day 😅 (thanks to my CS local guides, super introduction in the balkans ! "Blagodaria" ;)

🇸🇰 My arrival in Bratislava (SK), january 2024 :
After skiing in Tirol and visiting Vienna, I reached Bratislava by 1 hour by train from Wien HBF. I arrived by Petrzalka train station, in the middle of huge monuments from soviets times. It was sunny but the wind was very crazy ! Even if it was difficult to walk with my luggage, especially while crossing the Duna Bridge with the strong wind, I was fascinated by this "open air contrast" city, mixing soviets buildings, a very cute old town and new modern monuments 🤩

I speak french 🇫🇷 (mother tongue), spanish 🇪🇸 (especially chilean 🇨🇱) and english 🇬🇧 (fluently). I learn italian 🇮🇹 and german 🇩🇪 (I love austrian accent 🇦🇹), and some words of everywhere I go travelling.
