About Me

ABOUT ME

(So, first of all, we can now say that it is "Pierre and Clara", since I live with my girlfriend (whose name is....Yes ! Clara, good guess !! ) and we are more likely to travel together and, of course, to host together (especialy since I live at her place ^^ --- She is working on her own profile... I 'll keep you posted ;))

Now, back at it :

it's always difficult to describe yourself (and I am sure you know what I am taliking about), but let's give it a try.

I am a regular guy, working during the week, hanging out with friends on week-end (and making new ones) enjoying going to restaurants and discovering new tastes (and I still think the most important is what you get on your plate and not his presentation - but I am digressing). I still try to make time to read and do some sports (running).

And one other thing, some say I have a peculiar sense of humor (I personnaly find it fantastic but I heard dissenting opinions...Don't trust them !)

To sum it up, I would say that If I am not the most extrovert person, I might not been the most introvert ever and I would gladly welcome you or give you any information you need (and that I have ;)) about my city or other things or just chatting around...be my guest ! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done a lot of travels yet but the ones I made already brought me a lot in terms of exchanges and made me received a lot of everything from a lot of people...

I have discovered a lot of different mentality and different ways to view the world (with local people or just with other tourists from other parts of the world), and had a few amazing experiences.

But most of all, in most places, I was confronted with an extraordinary hospitality that i wasn't used to.

Now I think it's time for me to import that hospitality with me, and start to try to pass on what I already have received.

I would like to go on with that dynamic and bring my own stones to the building by helping you discovering my city, its good places, its history, its cooking speciality and also by giving a couch to the lost travellers..or the less lost ! :)

Interests

Reading, taking the train (especialy in Myanmar^^) and the bus (specially in Myanmar^^), having drinks with strangers, running (not necessarily away from the strangers I had a drink with ;)).

For the more classic things, I like to read, to watch movies and series, hosting BBQ ...

And...that's a start, you 'll find out the rest if you are so enclin. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossing the North sea on a Sailboat (3 on board) from Zeeland (The Netherlands) to Inverness (scotland) : 5 days of navigation day and night and learning a lot of things (and eating, and sleeping, and drinking)...what I should not say is that we had almost no wind during those 5 days and we used the motor a lot ;) . but still, it was pretty amazing, especialy at night, sailing with the stars and the neverending sunset....

What I Can Share with Hosts

My peculiar sense of humour, good tips about nice and sometimes less known TV shows, some boring things about Belgium, some interresting things about Liege...I cannot play music, I can cook some basics (and I hope you like garlic) but I will gladly share a bottle of whatever with you :)
