When I'm home, I love to meet people and get inspired.

I've hosted some people through warmshowers (think of it as couch surfing for people travelling by bicycle), and that was great fun, so I hope to do more. After all, there's nothing like someone from afar helping you to rediscover the place where you live

I've been into science fiction lately: 3 body problem, hyperion cantos, and - I finished the first book just in time for the move - dune.

Strangely I've never been very much into music. Although I tend to have a soft spot for some classics, especially Bach and his fugues. Occasionally I like some more minimalist music, think Arvo Part.

I cycled from Cambridge to Belgium and back, on a 15 kg bicycle (that's without luggage and without Pieter).

Wanting to do more of this, I cycled from Detroit to Cincinnati via Cleveland, right after running the Detroit marathon. Now I'm contemplating what could be my next adventure.
