I live in Strand, with my wife and 3 young children. I enjoy making wine for a living and also surf whenever I get a chance. I have my own wine brand in South Africa, www.blankbottle.co.za which keeps me very busy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel to Europe once a year for marketing my wines, and sometimes have a weekend in between without commitments which I like to use as an opportunity to explore a place I haven't visited before for inspiration. I feel you only really get to know a place if you stay with locals, and was introduced to couch surfing by my sister-in-law.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After some work experience and traveling in Europe, Indonesia and Phillipines after school, my boldest move yet was to go back to university at the age of 25 and study winemaking fulltime.

I enjoy learning about old world wines, would love to learn more about art and get inspired for designing my labels.
