About Me

Hello,
I enjoy meeting new folks and helping out those travellers who are on a budget by offering a couch. Hoping some kind souls would do the same for me on my travels.
Although I look young I am old enough to respect certain things: cleanliness, respect for other people's property, politeness. I do also respect interesting things, having fun and staying up late playing music. I think all these things can co-exist!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love speaking to people, making friends and meeting people from all corners of the world.
I have slept on the floors of friends, but this Couchsurfing business is quite new to me. I really like the idea of hosting and meeting interesting people from different countries. I work in social care, a notoriously underpaid sector, so when I travel, budget is always an issue. Thus, Couchsurfing is a great way to cut costs whilst meeting awesome locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes please! I love singing and playing the piano, and try to play bass & guitar. I make some music and also go listen to better music all the time at gigs and festivals. I enjoy the heavier side of music but anything innovative and exciting gets my vote. Last gigs I've thoroughly loved: Oranssi Pazuzu/Aluk Todolo in Berlin, Huoratron at Ilosaari festival, Kairon;IRSE! at Sideways festival & Bar Loose in Helsinki.
I love the books of JS Foer, Miranda July and poetry by Rekola & Ahmatova. I write poetry and try to perform it at poetry jams sometimes.
My favourite films are usually slightly leftfield, sometimes bleak, drama/comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I kissed Buck65 in 2004. At the time, that was a big deal to me...I loved his music y'know.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play the piano, I am fluent in at least two languages, I am good at giving advice although I myself rarely follow any.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am good at listening - as a mental health/social care/social work professional that is a fairly important trait to have I guess. I have good interpersonal skills I would say. And excellent taste in music!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

Finland, United Kingdom
