Overview
About Me
We are a family made up by 2 adults and 2 children (an 11 year-old girl and a 9 year-old boy). Our house is located in the countryside, 10 minutes away from Ibarra, in the northern part of Ecuador. Our kids are homeschooled, so we'd like to host travelers that could help us with our homeschooling routine, both in English or in German (any type of knowledge, skills or experience that could be interesting!). I (Pilar) run an American NGO that sponsors a school for indigenous teenagers 23 kilometers away from Otavalo, so our guests could also be part of that experience and do some volunteering there depending on your interests. We look for travelers that are interested in sharing a quite family-life atmosphere, hiking, cycling, cooking (we are vegetarians), talking, and not just coming to spend the night.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because we'd like the kids and ourselves to share with people coming from different cultures, speaking different languages, and sharing valuable travel experiences. We've also travelled ourselves so we'd like to help people do it.
