CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to be an informed global citizen able to participate in the U.S. democratic process effectively for the good of all nations and able to take the long view. Not short term bandaids. I want to see a thriving global community.

ABOUT ME

First and foremost I am a mom. I think I was born a mom. I love my kids and have raised 4 only one of my own though. I am a life long learner, read a ton, like art projects, am very health oriented and an environmentalist.

Intereses

I have many interests. I love to read, hike, do yoga, garden, watercolor, attend lectures, meditate. My husband likes sporting events also. We do not have a TV so we both read a lot. We have three grown children we like to spend time with. Have a degreee in Cultural Anthropology- love anything along those lines.

I am currently reading Chalice and the Blade. Just finished a book on Darwin. Also reading a book by the Dalli Lama and a Jared Diamond book. Love Bill Bryson's travel books. Read a lot of medical texts on physical therapy for my job. Husband reads novels and many biographys.

I married an amazing man I didn't know on gut instinct and he's an absolute saint of a husband. We are on to 20 years and going strong.

I teach Pilates and personal training. I am mostly vegan and would love to learn some new cooking skills. I love learning period so to create a list here is daunting. Most things- I am not really into popular culture though- I don't know all the movie stars etc because I just don't care. I look internally for fullfilment, not external. And by the way I am dyslexic so please excuse the spelling. I can spell anything 5 different ways.
