Hello! This is Tim. I’m currently traveling around different countries during my career break!

I’m an easygoing person who enjoys both dynamic and relaxed activities.
I love both city life and the countryside, but if I had to choose, nature would win.

I won't call myself as a deep traveler, because I'm also like to visit some tourist attractions, but I also won't call myself as a classic tourist, because I'm also like to connect with local people and local life, that's why I'm using Couchsurfing.

I used to rent a studio flat in Taipei, where I hosted travelers.
During the time I was hosting others, I made many friends from all over the world. I'm really grateful to have joined the Couchsurfing community.

Having fun with different people always makes a trip more interesting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing because I enjoy listening to people share their stories and learning about the cultures of different countries. In addition, I hope that using Couchsurfing will not only help me make friends from all around the world, but also introduce my country (Taiwan 🇹🇼) to more and more people! Actually, I created a Couchsurfing account in 2018, but I didn't really use it until 2023. The reason that reignited my interest in Couchsurfing is that when I was traveling in Japan in 2023, I had a small talk with a Hong Kong girl, and she shared a lot of stories about how she travels around via Couchsurfing. That was really amazing! So I started to use Couchsurfing and became a host.
Maybe when I travel to other countries, I can also use this method to better understand and experience the local way of life.
