About Me

CURRENT MISSION

simply, to live - i'm finding out what life has in store for me

ABOUT ME

I'm a first year college student at a tiny little catholic university that sits squatly atop a snowy mountain in central Pennsylvania.

I'm a pretty mellow soul if I do say so myself. I try not to let the trivial things bother me. I'm laid back and down to earth.
I love randomness and despise monotony.
I can be introverted at times, especially in new situations, but I'm working on changing that.
I try to be funny, but that doesn't always work out so well haha.

I am from California and will end up back there one way or another. I want to live out the end of my life by the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean.

My name is pronounced 'young' :D

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to try everything twice. I always have a much different experience the second time around.

Life's too short for regrets. I'm trying to move past my inhibitions. Do what you enjoy, and not what you don't.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Any movie that really allows me to get to know the characters, to feel for them, and struggle along with them on their quest to find themselves. I really like independent films about atypical topics, ones that leave you questioning. I'm on a little Emile Hirsch fix at the moment haha.

Into the wild. slumdog millionaire. little miss sunshine. milk. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. the visitor. across the universe. science of sleep. amelie. fight club. elizabethtown. lords of dogtown.

Music: I don't think I can live without music. It drives my soul and can impact my mood so easily. I listen to almost everything (I've never gotten into country, but I have learned to tolerate it to an extent). As of late I'm into a lot of indie/alternative music/folk:

vampire weekend. MGMT. kimya dawson. arctic monkeys. cobra starship. the kooks. metro station. damien rice. the jakes. augustana. the faint. santigold. john legend. james morrison. death cab. feist. justin nozuka. adele. sigur ros. the killers. coldplay. beatles. 3OH!3 hahhhh.

I haven't been reading much unfortunately, and lack of time is a horrible excuse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

all of my experiences in so far in life have been pretty spectacular

Teach, Learn, Share

I still have a lot to learn, but I'll share what I know if you share what you know.
