About Me

ABOUT ME

I am Crystal the Pistol. I have carried this moniker with me since birth. It does suit me quite well, thanks Papa. A crystal is a pretty delicate little thing. I am short, I burn easily in the sun, I rarely sweat, my tummy likes to get upset at me, and I will get rather sleepy after just one drink. My friend Alex once said I have, "a delicate constitution." This makes me feel rather ladylike. I am quite sensitive to mine and other's feelings. I like Hello Kitty, the color pink, Gwen Stefani, things that sparkle, animals and designer dresses. I am idealistic and I value brains over brawn any day of the week. And then there is the pistol portion to my personality. I am quite patient and nice 99% of the time...but watch out if you press my buttons enough to reach the 1% that's not so nice. I have always marched to the beat of my own drummer. I'm not completely radical and I won't pretend that everything about me is original, but I am the way I am because it makes me happy, not because I want to fit in somewhere. I like the F word because it adds color to conversation. If I feel I or someone else is the victim of injustice, I will speak out whether it gets me in trouble or not. If I see someone getting picked on, I will intervene. I can hold my own in a mosh pit. I like to eat spicy food until my mouth hurts. I think it is fun to tease boys. Please, for both of our sake's don't ever try to allude that I am stupid. It will not be pretty. I will be happy to debate you and prove that I am right on most any occasion. I have been told that I am brilliant and I will have to agree. Things I want: truth, beauty, freedom, love, and to be a revolutionary that wears pink. I am as Bobby put it, "a precious little assassin." Bang Bang.

oh and also of note is the fact that I am not from Alabama. I was born and raised in Central Florida. I enjoy meeting other outsiders that were not born in the south but are now living here. In a couple of years I will most likely be moving somewhere far away for grad school, but I have no idea where yet. I am kind of hoping that it ends up being Toronto, ON, CA, Oregon, or southern California.

Although that sounds like a lot of shows, I only turn on the television about twice a week and see what is on.

Oh, and Freaks and Geeks was one of the best shows ever made. I own it on dvd and you should too. The Brit show Spaced was another one that left us too soon and is worth checking out if you are a fan of Simon Pegg.
