About Me

About me right now: I'm on a round-the-world trip starting in Cuba for two months then off to Dubai, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Bali, Philippines, Isreal, and then I'm not sure where to go for August (suggestions?? :)

Ten years ago I did this in Europe and most of it was through Couchsurfing which made it 10x incredible because I got to meet and befriend locals of each city. And now 10 years later, here I am celebrating my new decennial tradition! :)

About me overall: I'm a bit of a nomad with the heart of a New Yorker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been couchsurfing since it's early inception back in 2007. From Greece to Argentina... It's been a life-changing ride.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch too many movies, read too many books, and listen to too many songs to even think up of a list of my favorites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Atlas mountain of Morocco.

Rio Celeste in Costa Rica.

Burning Kouch 2012 @ Orient Point.

Shooting a shotgun for the first time (I can't help it, I'm American and it was fun!)

La Merce in Barcelona

Running outside through the 2007 Oswego snow blizzard

Road trip from Vegas into Utah through its amazing parks and natural structures (it was like being on another planet)

Playa/Rio Rincon in the Dominican Republic - where we canoed through mangrove tree crystal clear river, swam in the river/beach, sipped on recently knocked down coconuts and feasted on freshly caught lobster

Sitting at the top of the steps of Casa de la Musica in Trinidad, Cuba, listening/watching live salsa music/dancing

Scuba Diving in Bay of Pigs

Learned how to make fish curry in Myanmar

Climbed the tallest sand dune in Mongolia - takes hours and feels like you're going up a stair master in the highest setting.

Rode a horse through the Mongolian valleys

Bangkok floating market with locals

Eating shaved ice in Korea

Teach, Learn, Share

Never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience.
