About Me

I am an adventurous and positive student from Poland who is about to start his longest holidays before going to college (I have got admitted to the University of Cambridge - Computer Science!!! :) ). I like meeting new people, getting to know their culture, habits and worldviews. I love talking walks in nature but beautiful urban places are also of my interest. My other features of character is that I am calm, happy, sensitive for animals (especially cats) and children, I don't do drugs, smoking or excessive drinking and I am constantly putting me out of my comfort zone to break my limitations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing is an amazing idea broadening people's horizonts and simply bringing people together and I want to be a part of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to every kind of music. But recently I am looking for more original and sophisticated kinds as I love new vibes! Check out my latest catch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33x8qqyyzAg (my sister is a jazz vocal singer so she sometimes sends me such pearls)

Films: I prefer the more complicated and original ones. Thrillers, psychological, sci-fi. The ones that bring a lot of retrospections, emotions, surprise, laugh. Recently I watched a TV serie "Black Mirror". Greatly recommend it!

Books: Probably the scientific ones I read the most often but also crime books are my cup of tea. The Camila Lackberg's serie is amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been a counselor at the Camp in New Hampshire (United States) and have taken care of a group of nine year old american boys when I was sixteen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk with foreign people about different aspects of our countries. I remember once in the US I spent two hours talking with my new friend about educational systems in Poland and the US. It gives a lot of information about the priorities and values that people in their homelands share. I am also known in my surrounding to post unusual questions that gives a lot to think about. Maybe we could talk about something deeply and polish our worldviews together? I have to confront my values and ideas all the time, because sometimes even when I just want to explain my point of view I realise that there is an aspect that I didn't look at before.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give you a good conversation partner to spend time with. I can also help you with things like house chords etc., especially when it requires psychical strength.
