Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was studying physical therapy I used to do my clinicals at the local hospital. I remember working with a patient who just had a stomach surgery. He was very ill, in pain but willing to exercisewith me. During the therapy session, we chat a little bit. It was more as a way to shift is attention so that he won't focus on the pain. At some point I asked him what is his philosophy of life. He replied: "Its better not the acquire material possesions but rather spend money on experiences". He explained- " If you die you cant take all the things to the grave, so whats the point of having a big house or a luxury car? It better to spend it on experiences and adventures. At least, if you end up like me, you have all those memories that you can go back to". I've realized that there is a difference between living and being alive. Couchsurfing allows me to meet new people and cultures, visit new places and attend great events
