About Me

At the moment a scientist on a break. Trying to figure out stuff.

A person having troubles writing about himself ;)

Meet me and let's have a conversation over a glass of wine about that - I will listen to your story and you can listen to mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals means getting an unmatched opportunity to gain access into the life, culture, habits of the places one visits. Yes, places can have habits too.

One should never travel alone and when traveling alone Couchsurfing seems to be the cure.

Interests

Whatever life would bring along.

Movies and photography and videography and travel and cooking and books and science and biking and party (the non dancing type of it;) and learning and walking along the streets of big cites and cigarets (ok I kind of quit smoking, it is bad for you) and listening to peoples stories and trying every spicy dish and hot sauce that exists on the planet and stuffs!

Music, Movies, and Books

I should probably say "Trainspotting". Someone told that this is the movie that defined my generation. Haven't seen it yet... maybe I start with the sequel. Recently I saw "Upstream Color" that was pretty good.

I loved "Gravity" but hated "Interstellar" and looking forward to see "The Martian".

"Brazil" and all movies by Wes Anderson are very high on my list ("The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" = awesomeness)

"Before Sunset", "Death and the Maiden" and "Pure Formality" are all fantastic because of their dialogs and intellectual or emotional intimacy that they confer ;)

"Stealing Beauty", and "Spring" are simply beautiful (the way the camera moves in "Spring", grate)

All movies by Woody Allen. I do not think that I really laugh at laud when I watch them but somehow they are my favourite comedies.

Books:

"The Master and Margarita" by Bulgakov is a very clear answer here.

Music:

Gosh... I have to disappoint you. I am one of those few people for whom music is not a life necessity. What I love though is when someone grabs a guitar and plays. A group of friends, wine or beer or vodka, night time is my recipe for sharing one consciousness ;)

Unfortunately, I do not play guitar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It should be always the next thing planned, no ;)

I mean really.

OK. I will tell you one. I prepared coffee today in the morning. It wasn't even real but instant. But Man! Coffee in the morning is amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Wow... teaching... with each passing year I have a feeling that I have more to learn and less to teach.

I can teach you biochemistry if you are crazy enough to ask for it;)

I want to learn working with a camera and editing videos. I would love to learn how to tell a story via moving pictures. That is my next goal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time, conversations, a pint of beer or a glass of wine, walk along a seacoast, a hike in mountains, photos, this and that that you do when traveling.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Scotland, Singapore, Slovakia, Taiwan, Tunisia
