About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sleep little, make a mark
ABOUT ME
Formerly a formal student, now an informal student. I've been thrust into the real world, though I did go without much fight. Eagerly embracing corporate America, company happy hours, esoteric jargon, and the varied alternative scenes in town, all the while trying to soak in knowledge in its varied forms.
PHILOSOPHY
Zero sum fates. Good luck and bad luck net to zero.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Friend to many, couch to all.
I am frustrated at all the hosts who castigate people looking for free places to crash. I just graduated and I'm cheap. So are many other surfers. Consider the origin of CS: Rather than staying at hostel, CS founder Casey Fenton randomly e-mailed 1,500 students in Iceland asking if he could stay. 50 replied yes. Frugality isn't bad.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Planes, trains and automobiles. Actually, less automobile. Trains are charming, planes are utilitarian. But the bus is cheap and so it wins.
Interests
Reviving listening parties. Creating adventures in many senses of the word, observing exciting things and people. Working (yes, it is an interest).
But seriously: sustainable development, cheesy film, botany, running, rowing (alas, no longer!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Utah's Zion National Park is pretty darn awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
Richmond, Virginia is an amazing city. Compact, decrepit, organic. Events happen without any kind of promotion or advertisement -- word of mouth immaculate conception.
