ABOUT ME

I guess that maybe I should know better, but I still love to travel the world meeting new people and seeing new places - I think that travel is just the best thing of finding about the world.

Whether it's walking in the Lake District, driving around the Alps looking for the best new snow, or getting ready for a big powder day in B.C. I LOVE being in the mountains. I guess that I have my Dad to thank for this, getting me up into the hills when I was young.

Otherwise I love surfing, it's my first love but not something I get to do much now. It's a long story, one I'd have to tell you about over a beer. I love film, especially 40s and 50s Hollywood. I studied Media with Film Studies at University. And music - I still DJ lots, it's still so important to me. Growing up going to the original 80s/90s raves was quite something.

I'm an easy-going guy - I like good conversations and interesting people - I'm sure that I'm going to meet a few on here...

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone should be able to live their own life, how they want to as long as it doesn't hurt others...to get out there, see the world and meet new people

Music, Movies, and Books

Funky ass-shaking house music. Soul and Disco. Indie. Lots of 80s stuff - I'm showing my age! By that I mean decent stuff! From New Order to David Sylvian, anything good. Bookwise? Coupland, Donna Tartt, Easton-Ellis. I love catching up on news, reading the papers all week to learn something you didn't know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling around the world in 2002/2003 - having the bulls to pack in my successful job and go "F*** it, there's more to life than this" and doing it. Two days later I was sat in Beijing, China - a world away - thinking this is fantastic, why did I never do this sooner?!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always wanted to teach as I think that it's really important that you pass your inspiration on to others - my passion is film, but I'd like also to help people appreciate the outdoors as I love it so much. To appreciate nature or inspire someone is the best thing that you can do...
