defy time and space
I am originally born/raised in New York, but most recently have been living in San Francisco. In college, I studied cultural anthropology, and since then -- I have been working for documentary film foundations and arts non-profits. I most recently completed an AmeriCorps (PeaceCorps in America) year in California and in Summer/Fall 2014 - I will be traveling around Europe.
In my free time, I enjoy going to bars and to shows. I enjoy the pace of cities (having more or less lived in them my entire life). But I do find it necessary to be out in nature on the weekends for long hikes or bike rides.
I try to be grateful about the experiences and memories and people that I've had...and I think this is a frame of life that we can all benefit from in terms of not letting the past bog us down.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was recommended to join the community by a fellow anthropology student who had done hir thesis on couchsurfing. I had the opportunity to start my couchsurfing in the Summer of 2010 while riding Amtrak trains around the country for my own thesis. I had a lovely experience meeting new people in cities that I was curious to get a more insiders view on. I have continued to see CS as an important tool of how one can more meaningfully travel.
i began couchsurfing as i traveled around the States for my undergraduate thesis. I have had many memorable experiences and I hope that this website becomes a recurring place and site in my life.
