ABOUT ME
Hello, I am Alex. Ever questioned what it means to be human? When did you smile to a stranger the last time? While trying to explore you can experience something unique every single day. For me, to live means to be active and to be active means to help change the world to a place worth living for all creatures. As the perfect cannot exist, all remains trying. I try to be tolerant and to accept others as they are and think. To listen is a lot harder than to speak.
PHILOSOPHY
Some altruistic thoughts//Some thoughts of our unimportance.
No one knows for how long we can go on playing our games, so we should enjoy them at least.
Think, wait, starve (Hermann Hesse, Siddharta).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
1/There are people who cry that our world has gone crazy/
2/Other people talk about changing the world/
3/There are also people who have the power to really get something started/
4/Last but not least there are some diamonds who also DO IT
//In my opinion, CouchSurfers combine the last three types :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling from Barcelona to Berlin.
Taking a bath in a gush spring a spit away from the atlantic ocean in iceland.
Passing one night in a cave at the pacific ocean in warm sand, with the full moon and stars shining bright.
Getting to know real friendship, trust and reliance.
Swimming, hiking and wading through the Canyon of Somoto in Nicaragua.
Last but not least - being welcomed by "strangers" is always amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not an handicraft expert, I just do it and I can share my experiences with you. I built some Q-Tip-Lamps, tried out cardboard furniture and this year it is the time for my proper soy sauce...
As I try to live vegan and this attitude takes a big part in my personal life I like to exchange recipes and ideas or discuss (without prejudices against or judging non-vegans!) about that - or about our society of greed and consumption in general. Actually I like discussing about anything.
And I certainly can teach you how to juggle a devil stick in 5 minutes.
