ABOUT ME

My name is Pivoine, I am a freelance translator working from home. I grew up in Belgium but I've lived in Grenoble for 5 years now. I'm a rather quiet person who enjoys meeting people, whatever the context. I'm not a big talker and I'd prefer listening to other's experiences because we have so much to learn from each other :)!
I love having a beer in a bar with friends and/or good music (but I tend to avoid crowded places).
But I have to admit that my biggest pleasure in life is FOOD :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love traveling to discover new landscapes, taste different food and have a look on other cultures. According to me (but not only), the best way to do it is getting to know local people, especially the ones who like their area and are proud of their natural cultural heritage.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still a beginner in the couchsurfing world but so far, my few experiences were great (2 as a host and 2 as a guest).

Eating nice food, reading novels and comics, watching good movies or cartoons, eating world food, listening to live concerts, walking in the forest, eating italian food, biking and... eating :-) !

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I took part to the "Médecins du monde Biketour" in September 2013 : I rode by bike from Brussels to Paris within 4 days for the NGO Médecin du Monde.
I spent a month working in a moutain hut (Vallonpierre) in the french national parc Les Ecrins, a wonderful hiking place.
