ABOUT ME

I am a swedish student living in Spain. I decided to move here a year ago to learn spanish and to escape the cold weather. During this year I have experienced a lot and travelled in southern Spain; now I am finishing my studies. This I do by going to Colombia for two months on a scholarship, investigating what the english classes are like in upper secondary schools. I am thrilled! So, currently I am learning more about CS and would love to do some surfing, meeting new people starting off with my trip to Bogota in the beginning of January.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, since I'm new here I will start by surfing for my upcoming trip in January. I guess I will go from there and when back in Spain I would love to host myself and get more involved.I am still getting to know the southern Spain so I am not at good guide here I'm afraid. However, I would love to give advice or guide in Sweden and Finland during the summermonths.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried CS twice this summer here in Spain. The first time I went on a roadtrip with a friend of mine to Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera, and stayed with her CS friends. The second time I stayed in Sevilla for some days with another friend and her CS contacts. They gave us a really good stay!

Interests

My passion is horses. I love them! Here in Spain I am trying to get to learn more about the beautiful PRE. Dogs are another passion of mine. I guess I in general love all animals.Also I am very sporty and practice yoga, running, aerobic and I would like to learn how to dance salsa, merengue and all sorts of latin dances.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Chillout or latin when in dance mood. Artists for example Norah Jones, Chambao, Movies: Absoule favorites: "Cinema Paradiso" and "Amelie de Montmartre"Books: Authors like Coetzee, Lessing and Rushdie are fantastic. Also love Herta Mullers poetic and touching writing. At the moment I'm reading Ingrid Betancourts story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Galopping the sandy beaches at Magnetic Island on a beautiful horse. Racing with two other horses, in such a high speed that you couldn't stop the horse. Letting it run, feeling sand and water whipping your face. The feeling of freedom was total in this moment. You felt alive and completely happy and satisfied. I will always remember that feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good at languages and could teach those who want. I am also eager to learn more spanish myself. I'm also good at the sports I am practicing, but of course you can always be better so I would love to meet people who also like horses and yoga and learn more from each other.One thing I tried in Australia was to surf, and could hardly get up on the board. So this is something I would like to practice more
