Overview
About Me
We are a couple (Lisa & PJ) from Sydney, Australia, traveling the world and learning to live out of our backpacks
We don't smoke or drink but our love of coffee and pastries may yet be our undoing!
PHILOSOPHY
LOVE. We are lovers, dreamers, and believe in hope and the messy patchwork of humanity. Love always holds an answer and is always louder than the fear that divides us from each other and from our truer selves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ooops. Perhaps we accidentally answered this in the '' One amazing thing I've done" question.
Well apart from the obvious awesomeness of getting to meet yet again some really cool and interesting humans, I think there is a line from one of our favourite books 'Shantaram' that fits nicely here: "In the beginning we feared everything - animals, the weather, the trees, the night sky -everything. Now we only fear each other"
We want to 100% embrace and support any initiative or alternative that challenges this fear and brings people together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many and too varied to pick. We'll leave this one as a surprise and share the experience of discovering common interests with you, our hosts!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing things for us will always be the incredible people we have had the pleasure of sharing conversation and company with. It constantly fuels our love of humanity and our belief in the powerful possibilities that come from people co-operating and looking out for each other.
However, don't you worry, we promise to come with plenty of stories about our crazy adventures like our trek into the Thailand jungle on the border with Myanmar, where we stayed for a night with a local hill tribe and PJ was crazy enough to get into a chilli eating contest with one of the locals.
Update: We recently walked 800km on the Camino de Santiago and are feeling pretty impressed with our feet, so that has to go here.
Teach, Learn, Share
Portuguese, English, Yoga, Calisthenics, sketching, coffee making.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share stories of our travels; we'll practice your English with you; we can hang out and sketch or paint together; we can share what we have learned about calisthenics, yoga, and meditation.
We are also pretty damn good at the 'make it up as you go' style of cooking and always happy to cook up a feast. Have you ever had a full Sydney style breakfast?
For board game lovers - we travel with Hive and Zombie Dice and we are always up for a game!
