About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Attain enlightenment and be as helpful to others as I can.
ABOUT ME
I'm one of the people who think that we can only change the world if we begin to change ourselves first. So that is one thing I'm constantly trying to do, although at times I can't fulfill my own prospects. I try to challenge myself and my own beliefs, especially when I meet new people with different opinions.
This view lead me to go vegan in late 2010, after being vegetarian for about a year. Before that I even joked about vegans with friends while enjoying a big steak. But that's what life defines, the unexpected things.
I'm the type of person who really enjoys the little things in life. Let it be delicious food, eating with my family or the smell of rain after a hot summer-day. One time â
PHILOSOPHY
I don't believe in an entity represented by a figure like god. What I learned while looking at quantum physics and long conversations with my brother and other intelligent and spiritual people is that we're mere a little bit of a bigger self-aware organism and by this the whole of it at the same time. Since I discovered that almost all of the beliefs I hold match with Buddhas teachings, I follow this path and try to further my knowledge and understanding. Also it is a way to connect to many other intelligent people, that share a similar philosophy.
George Carlin said: "I'm greater than, lesser than and equal to the universe. I'm greater than it because I contain it in my mind, lesser than because I'm an obvious shmuck and I'm equal to it because I am of the same atoms it is."
Therefore a part of my veganism is coming from the idea that harming oneself through harmful actions to other beings – human or not – is in it self destructive to the self in the end. Of course there are more aspects to it, than that. *
There is so much more I'd like to talk about regarding philosophy (if you'd like) and spirituality this little box isn't capable of holding …
„As long as humanity continues to be the ruthless destroyer of other beings, we will never know health or peace. For as long as people massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed those who sow the seed of murder and pain will never reap joy and love.“ – Pythagoras
* Disclaimer: I will never bust anyones ass because they eat meat. It's just my angle of how to look at things and I only explain it to those who show self-developed interest.

Having candlelight Parties during the Blackout caused by Hurricane Sandy in Manhatten and roaming the dark streets of New York.
But I've found, that amazing things surround us in every second of our life. From the tiniest insect to the vastness of the night sky on a clear night. You just have to recognize all of them, for the wondrous things they are.
