ABOUT ME

I am a learning animal. I love reading, but I also love learning from people. I am happy to read for long stretches of time, and then I like to fly the coop: every day, go running or biking; every week, meet people; every few months, travel....

PHILOSOPHY

I value nature and community. When I keep my eyes on those prizes, then living simply is not a burden, but a delight—less baggage, more freedom! My immediate community includes my children, who are wonderful human beings, although they are old enough that I do not see them often; I love to do things outside, to protect nature’s beauty and do things for my own health and enjoyment.

I am starting in a modest way hoping to meet people who may be traveling to my sector of the galaxy; I will be traveling soon, and hope to meet people further afield….

I had heard about it from friends, and now, finally joining in

I read a lot in areas of interest mentioned above; I enjoy some movies and music every week. I love 1960s music; my kids have introduced me to more recent music. I love almost all movies unless with gratuitous violence or promotion of shallow consumerism.
