About Me
OUR MISSION WHEN WE STARTED COUCHSURFING
To travel the world and make new friends!
OUR CURRENT MISSION
Christina's health issues changed our lives quite a bit and we've had to hit pause on many of our travel plans for now, though we are still always looking to meet new people and make new friends. Our updated mission is to create a healthful and healing life and find a way to help those who suffer from Central Sensitivity Syndrome.
ABOUT US
We met in Vancouver at college when we were randomly assigned to compete on the same team in a business competition. We spent every day with each other when the magic of the Winter 2010 Olympics took over the streets of Vancouver and we've been together ever since!
Since first joining CouchSurfing as undergraduate students, we've moved on to getting married this past August 8, 2015. Peter was working as a tax accountant but he is now studying to be a programmer at Dev Bootcamp in San Francisco. Christina was diagnosed with Central Sensitivity Syndrome in 2014, a debilitating disease that encompasses chronic diseases such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. She had to leave her job doing the marketing at a management consulting company and is now trying to focus on recovering some of her functionality and learning to live life with her illness.
As a couple, we are always looking to have fun and go outside our comfort zone to experience new things. We are pretty easy going people and are very respectful.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing is ever promised tomorrow, today... so why not make the most of today?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We like to Couchsurf as much as possible when we travel because it enriches our travels and we have met the most incredible people. We're currently living apart - Peter is in San Francisco studying computer programming and Christina is living with his cousin in Calgary. Eventually we hope to have a home together once more and started hosting again!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
On our first trip to Europe we tried to Couchsurf as much as possible. When it worked out, it was great. The people were really awesome and it made our trip even better. The only problem was that as we were new Couchsurfers it was hard to find hosts.
We did have one host who accepted us but never got back to us once we arrived in Europe. We planned accordingly but were disappointed that we didn't have anyone to stay with in Rome.
Interests
Trying new restaurants, looking for new experiences around our city of Vancouver (like painting while dining!), photography, traveling, board game parties with friends, hockey, reading, being with each other .
We love listening to Spanish and Italian guitar. Meeting new people is always fun and we are always trying new things like renting and driving a scooter for the first time from Sorrento to Amalfi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During the Winter 2010 Olympics, we lined up for 8 hours together to fly across Robson Square on the Zipline right in the middle of Downtown Vancouver!
Teach, Learn, Share
We would love to be able to travel all over the world and immerse ourselves in the local culture, learning about the local ingredients and how to cook favourite dishes.
We could share our love for food by teaching how to cook some of our favourite dishes and sharing skills with photography.
