Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am working on a farm, milking cows, cooking a lot, doing chores, writing, reading, crafting a few things. And watching movies.
ABOUT ME
I've studied English, documentary writing, farming, and cheese making. For the last few years I've been farming and doing activist work for young farmers. I realized lately that I haven't really lived anywhere longer than eight months since 2004/05 when I was in New Haven, CT. I seem to be following an eight month rule. Since then I've lived in Portland Maine, then New Haven (again), Guanajuato Mexico, New York, three different spots in Italy, then Ireland, then upstate New York. So I'm doing a big trip now across the South and looking for a new place to live and new job. I want to work as a writer and small self-sustainable publisher.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've never hosted anyone but no one has ever contacted me either. I've been on the move a lot so it's hard for anyone to catch me at home. I've stayed with some really nice people in Italy and Mexico. All good experiences. I've discovered that people on this site are kind and generous.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some very nice people and no bad ones on couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now I am reading Madame Bovary, and just finished reading Lady Chatterley's Lover. So maybe Anna Karenina next. Music right now is Jazz and Blues. Pink Anderson and Charlie Parker today. Dizzy Gillespie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked in a lot of different countries. Once in Spain I took a long hike in the mountains south of Andalucia. Each town I hit was smaller and higher than the next one, until I came to the last town before the mountains completely took over. That was a beautiful place.
