About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission: Happiness! Looking for the joy in life, other people, and the things I do

ABOUT ME

I have a passionate mind, a passionate heart, and sometimes I take life much too seriously. I love to laugh, love to smile. I love finding the joy in simple things - a foggy forest, houseplants, pizza, the self-satisfaction of cats :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just want to host interesting people! Get to know what you're doing with your life, learn from you, share experiences, hear about your thoughts on life. Maybe make a few lasting friends along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once went to a couch-surfer party, and I really loved the community and the people, so I thought now that I have my own place, I'd get involved. Met a couple people I still keep in touch with, who've become awesome friends.

Interests

Plants, languages, politics, science, food, cats, plants, really anything to do with biology, English, the environment, pizza, plants, art, sexuality/gender, oppression/non oppression, feminism, religion, atheism, good kitchenware, flowers, excellent toilet paper, now I'm just listing off things I really like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everyone in my family are musicians except me, but I don't really like music. I'm not sure why.

I do love books though - holding them, smelling them, spending unreasonable amounts of time on them...One of my favourite books was about Flamingos.

I love books. Just holding them, smelling them, spending unreasonable amounts of time on them...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finishing my thesis. Honestly, probably the hardest thing I've done. And it wasn't the thesis that was so hard. I had to conquer myself and my own self-doubt.

Best memory though - on my graduation day, my roommate had a surprise graduation party, where everyone I knew and loved was there, and all the people who helped me through that difficult last year of university. It was AMAZING! This was really the last time I saw them all before I moved to Korea, so it's definitely one of the fondest things in my memory.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something they love. I love telling people cool facts about science that they never knew before.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
