I would describe myself as open-minded, friendly & spontaneous, having all kinds of different interests. I am especially fascinated by cognitive neuroscience and research on consciousness. I have a deep pasion for music and compose electronic music with my computer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host and surf. My flatmate Corin Schäfli (has her own account on CS) has lately been more active in setting up hostings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first got in touch with this idea of sharing many years ago, in the beginning mainly through another website called hospitalityclub.

Interests

Hanging out with friends and going out (concerts, parties, or just a weekend outside in nature), music, people and different cultures/lifestyles, vegetarian/vegan cooking, juggling, midnight discussions about life and everything, daydreaming, mountains (hiking & climbing in summer, snowboarding in winter), psychology & neuroscience - trying to unite approaches to consciousness and beyond, environmental issues & politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

-I love music, and listen to diverse styles such as psytrance & electronic music, world, reggae & dub, rock, metal... If I had to pick one band, it is Pink Floyd.
-I enjoy reading fantasy novels once in a while.
-I like movies that make me think. A really goood movie was "Amores Perros" in my opinion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a hard question. My trips to Asia were absolutely amazing. Other wonderful experiences were psychedelic trance gatherings such as Boom Festival in Portugal - or just a small party in the mountains of Switzerland! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a student all my life so far. I know some things about academic and non-academic psychology, I like to connect it with neurosience(brain research), I want to know more about transpersonal psychology and altered states of the mind (such as trance). I take interest in philosophy, and human concsiousness -- I like to think about evolution as a constant growing progress. I believe that everything we experience can teach us something ...
