Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Even when it's not through the CouchSurfing website, I love meeting people of different backgrounds and spreading the spirit of CS to foster a better world. I remember meeting some European nurse dude in an airport as I was flying back to Bangkok (where he was headed as well), and he ended up coming to chill at my place for a while as he gathered his bearings before heading off to explore BKK. I don't remember his name, but we showed each other some really useful websites, and I still use many of those today. This is what it's all about for me: just by trying to be nice and help other people out, you end up gaining: What a deal!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed. I've hosted. I've received and given tours of the local surroundings. And I probably should have done it more. I do sometimes feel awkward asking someone to stay at their place for free, and growing up I was the victim of theft on more than one occasion so sometimes I am skeptical about letting people stay at my place. But the bottom line is simple math: negative CouchSurfing experiences I've had = 0.

Interests

Music (Electronic, Hip-Hop (not Hip-Pop), and Rock), Philosophy, Reading, Revolution, Sports, Travel, and Web Development. As I said, I'm not into making profiles. Going any deeper would open Pandora's Box. But I'm quite open-minded to other people's interests. Being any other way would simply be foolish. That's it I guess. Cheers!
