ABOUT ME

I was a typical southern california college kid who got a degree in engineering, but then I decided I didn't want to just go and get a job and live the life of an engineer. So I spent two years in Tanzania as a volunteer teaching science to secondary schoolers, then 10 months in Sudan and 13 months in Haiti working with Medecins Sans Frontiers. Now I'm living in San Francisco designing rooftop solar systems!

PHILOSOPHY

I went to Africa trying to find a personal philosophy, but even though I learned a million things there, I am still looking. And honestly, I'm pretty happy just spending my life looking for one that fits just right.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great first experience in Savannah followed by a lot of fun in Providence and then Michigan. Now back home and hoping to meet some fellow travelers as they pass through.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any music really. I'm an avid reader, especially of Sci fi tho of late I've really gotten into a lot of developmental work literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent two years in a tiny remote village in Tanzania (that's in Africa). 10 months in South Sudan, helping to run a hospital. 13 months in Haiti, building a hospital.
