We are starting our active life, and we want to keep visiting the world as much as we can.

ABOUT ME

We are a young french couple living in Bucharest since September 2011. We would stay there at least 2 years.
We used to live in Toronto, Canada, for 2 years.
Marion is from Angoulême, but stayed 6 years in Saudia Arabia with her parents. She has a Master degree in European and international law and she is working at Bucharest's law faculty.

On my side, I'm a developer, working for Orange. My family leaves in Brest.
We have a little dog, Snoop, very nice with people.
We are sociable people. We like to travel to discover new cultures, but also to have more experiences. It's for that we decided to enter in the couch surfing community.

PHILOSOPHY

Difficult question !
We are trying to enjoy life without doing everything on a day to day perspective. We like to plan our travel, sometime for weeks.

We are totally open to everybody, not racist or intolerant with sexuality, religion, political ideas... Everyone is welcome at our home !
Respect and exchange are 2 things important for us.

Interests

Like a lot of people on this website, our passion is to travel. We don't really have preferences for destinations or continents. Our goal is to discover the more we can.

We also like board games. We try to host or to go to board games party when we have the opportunity.
We also like to go out with friends, but not so much to go in club.
When we arrive in a country, we try to learn as much as we can about it history, tradition and inhabitants.
We are not so much art museum people, but we really like history museum of cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love every kind of movies = SF, romantics, cartoons, dark one, drama, comics, blockbuster, classical... (Especially Tim Burton's ones !) We love to go to theater or organize movies night with friends. We also appreciate American series such as NCIS, The Mentalist, The good wife, Terra Nova...
I am a fan of japan manga too (Mirai Nikki, Escaflowne, Naruto, One piece...)
We also read a lot. My favorite book could be "The lord of the rings" from Tolkien and Marions's one is : "Le petit prince" from Saint Exupéry.
We are fan of Comics (Marion is from Angoulême = the city of the international comics festival) like Tintin, Asterix, Aldebaran, Largo Winch, Blacksad...
Our favorite music is classical. We enjoy opera, ballet... but we also like international and French variety, rock (English or French)... When we traveled in Cuba we discovered cuban salsa and we became 2 fans !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We had a lot of fabulus experiences !
But as we have to pick up one to answear to the question, we imediatly think to Cuba. Thanks to a Canadian couple we met there, who come regurarly in Cuba for many years, we discovered a small pub, when no tourists go in general because it's not in a touristical area. We discovered a very friendly music group and there wonderfull music ! One night, 3 groups met at the same pub. It was wonderfull ! They played all together, there were at least 40 cubans people, everyone danced, sang, drunk... even us of course ! Something unbelievable. We are happy to be certain we are almost the only tourists who had this kind of experience and who really met the population.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are very pleased to help people to discover our adoption country and leave impressed. We like to help them with their visit choices, to teach them what we learn about the country or the city, and to show them some nice places.
We hope it will not be just a place to sleep.
