ABOUT ME

We are a couple from Graz, Austria.
Kathrin: I like to work and to solve problems, sometimes I'm impatient and I'm always want to eat chocolate. I like to learn new things, to see as much as possible from the world and to have a good time with my friends.
Peter: I work too much, but I really do enjoy solving technical problems... I have to start something new from time to time, but I keep my favourite activities going for years. During vacation I really forget about work and enjoy travelling and trying out new things.

PHILOSOPHY

Kathrin: One of my favorite slogans is this one: Nobody can know what tomorrow will bring. The uncertainty is the principle of life.

We are really new and trying to get a feeling for CS. We are dying to find out, because it sounds great, how it works and are looking forward to meeting great CS-people.

Interests

Kathrin: board games (I'm really addicted ;-), books, friends, cinema, falling asleep on my couch, travel around the world, african drumming, disc-golf
Peter: disc-golf club, improvisation theatre group, african drumming ensemble, hear music, play guitar, computer-addict, (computer-)graphics & oil painting, building and flying models (1:72, electro helicopter)
together: play the board game "Cant Stop", solve sudoku-riddles, drink hot chocolate in the morning, have a lazy sunday and eat pasta, have lunch together if possible

Music, Movies, and Books

Kathrin: My favorite movies are Lars und die Frauen, Wie im Himmel, About a boy, Io non ho paura etc. Its not possible to tell you my favourite book, because it depends on my mood... I dont prefer a special type of music, sometimes I like classical music, sometimes I need music to sing along with.
Peter: Das Leben ist schön, Pulp Fiction, A Beautiful Mind, Short Cuts, all films by Emir Kusturica, Luc Besson, Music by B.B. King, Santana, George Benson, Nigel Kennedy, local groups...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kathrin: The time I studied in Italy for one year.
Peter: Travelled to China in 1987.

Kathrin: board-games (I know about 200+), how to plan and execute a party for children or a bigger event (for schoolclasses or other groups)
