I am a 28 year old humble human, teaching and living in China, enjoying my time with little silly minions. I love children, the arts, theatre, I've recently become a bit of a gym baddie, even though I still don't know what I'm doing. I love meeting new people, hearing stories, imagining what others lives are like. I love reading, watching movies and series, especially animated films, they're so feel good. I love to feel good! Home cooked meals (not by me, heehee), MUSIC (so badly wish I could play an instrument! (I have tried self teaching piano before)), board games, laughs, drawing. I'm easy to impress, I can look at clouds, and have the best time ever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be visiting England from mid Jan to end of Feb 2026. Hoping to spend most of that time on a low budget, not breaking my bank. I'm hoping to find a CS host, or a work away, or volunteer position to get by. Please get in touch if you have any leads. Thank you!

Music, Movies, and Books

((( I wrote the below paragraphs when I was 23, so will keep them there as a memento of the past )))

I am a 23 year old gal and I come from a Canadian-South African-Russian background. I have attended school in all 3 countries and have got to explore them quite a bit. I am huge into traveling! At this point I think I have been to nearly 30 countries. I try to live it out like a local as much as I can, staying longer than a tourist typically would, gaining authentic and more culturally diverse experiences.

In 2017, I backpacked across Central America for 2 months. I work-awayed in Puerto Rico and in Nicaragua, and then backpacked through Honduras and El Salvador to Guatemala. I swam alongside turtles, hiked a volcano and saw my first ever rainforest. For the xmas break, I joined my family on a 2 week roadtrip from Toronto to Miami.

In 2018, alongside my best friend, I backpacked across Southeast Asia for two months. We did a work-away in Kuala Lumpur, and then we decided to really explore the countries, by being in a new place each few days. I swam with elephants, hiked a mountain barefoot and rode a scooter to travel Laos. I joined my family again for another 2 week roadtrip from Toronto to New Orleans.

In 2019, I celebrated my birthday in Cuba and Mexico, where I got to go horseback riding and partying in Cancun.

As for 2020 so far, I have lived in the Czech Republic for 4 months. I then traveled Italy and caught trains up north to Sweden. Since September I have been in Saint Petersburg, Russia, doing online school and exploring my parents city.

music: I love mostly everything. I have a deep, ongoing-for-years passion for classical music. rock n roll. the beatles (georgie harrison is my favorite). beach boys. mhmm yeah. sigur ros. MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS.

movies: anything with a strong female lead is usually what I'm drawn to. I absolutely love sci-fi and all things aliens, zombies, maybe not vampires necessarily, but there's some cool flicks out there with those guys too. I binge watch a lotta telly shows. obsessed with the 100, have seen it multiple times. i have many, many fave movies, but 2 that I'll mention here are 'mr nobody' and 'palo alto'.

books: this is where I get a bit blushy, but I mainly read teen romances. 'pride and prejudice' I have loved since I was about 12, and read it in Russian too! memoirs and autobiographies are sick too. some faves are 'running with scissors' by augusten burroughs and 'just kids' by patti smith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe what I think is amazing, you'll find lame; and what I think is mad lame, you will find amazing. One amazing thing I have done/ I do is reread the Harry Potter series back to back, so I am always involved in the Hogwarts universe... See... Lame.
