WHAT ARE WE ALL ABOUT....

Hi, thank you for reading our profile.

We are Poli and Sam - a friendly, mature couple from Britain and currently our passion is travelling the world.
Our current stop is in New Zealand, Christchurch, which is coming to an end soon and then off to Thailand.

After realising that a 9 to 5 office work routine was suited to neither of us we decided to make a bold step and take life in our own hands. We worked ourselves into the ground for the past 12 months to kick start our adventures and now we are working to establish the ground works for our own individual dreams/business - while still travelling and experiencing life.

Poli: I am a self-rising artist, author and creavite designer.... Knowledge seeker.

Sam: I am currently an unpublished author - in the process of writing my first book. I am also exploring my other passions of history, languages, sciences and geography (I know its a long list).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We know couchsurfing isn't just a free roof over our heads, we like using this opportunity to help us get intergrated into the culture of the country we are in.

But the best part is meeting all the amazing people from different cultures all over the world and learning from their own experiences.

We want to be able to connect with everyone, learn from their experiences and also want to be able to give advice and share our knowledge!

Staying is a hotel or Airbnb doesn;t give the same experience as staying with a host on Couchsurfing and I'm sure all you hosts out there know that the best surfers are the ones who connect and interact!

Interests

We both share a passion for the outdoors: hiking, camping, exploring and finding routes that the average tourist wouldn't dare to look for.

We love animals: cats, dogs, fish, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters, hawks, hedgehogs, turtles, penguins... everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson (and all the other sequels after), Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

....Poli: Vamire Academy by Richelle Mead

Movies: All the book adaptations that we have just mentioned aside from Percy Jackson and the Vampire Academy.
... Then we have Disney, Pixar, Marvel (it will take too long to list all of these movies even more so if we tried to do it in order), Rom/Coms, Sci-fi... most movies out there that aren't just a gorefest.

Music: We like a very wide range of music, we can enjoy most genres if they have a well developed composition. Some of which include: Kelly Clackson, The Blues Brothers, Adele, Lindsey Stirling, Ben Heanow, Queen, ABBA, Bob Marley, Ray Charles.... all those.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Converted a car into a camper ourselves, completely from scratch.

Teach, Learn, Share

We want to learn and share more languages, experiences, how the world works, meet new people and hopefully by the end of a stay everyone would have grown a bit more as people.

[Poli] can teach you Bulgarian, you can test our German if you'd like!

We're willing to tke on almost any challenge, go ahead to test us out!
