About Me

Currently I'm living in South Goa, teaching yoga and pranayama at a yoga teacher training school. My life consists of lots of yoga, studying, beach time and spending as much time as I can outside :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to get a real idea about the culture of each country I go to and couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that, plus I love meeting travellers and people from all over the world.

Interests

I studied physics and astronomy and this is where my passion really lies, but I also love yoga, reading, writing, nature (especially being in the mountains), swimming in the sea, music, good food, wine, meditation, philosophy, watching the sunrise/sunset, dancing, conversations with friends over a coffee.....lots of things! Currently I'm obsessed with doing DIY projects out of stuff I find lying around, plus learning to hula hoop!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Books are really important to me and I've always been a big reader. I'm a big fan of American male authors like Hemingway, Steinbeck, F Scott Fitzgerald. Tom Robbins is one of my absolute favourite authors, I also like Bret Easton Ellis, Martin Amis and Ian McEwan but there are many more I could list!

Music: I like a lot of 70s music like the doors, led Zeppelin, pink floyd but usually there are a couple of artists I like from every genre. I listen to pretty much anything from uk grime to jazz so just ask if you're interested!

Movies: Tarantino films, Donnie Darko

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's a tie between trekking the Annapurna circuit in Nepal and doing a 10 day Vipassana meditation course in Varanasi, India

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested and open to pretty much all new things and I really really love to learn, especially from people that are passionate. I don't know what I could teach anyone really...but hopefully I can share good times and humour and stories!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully good company and stories, food, also being English I make a great cup of tea!
