About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On a mission to drink a gin and tonic on every continent and in every city I travel to.

ABOUT ME

I'm a young, happy person who could be described as "centred and calm" or "scattered and spontaneous" depending on who you ask. I love a good laugh and love to provide them. Slowly dipping my toes into solo world travel.

PHILOSOPHY

"Sure, why not!" is how I try to live my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a very thankful couchsurfer who has been lucky to meet some amazing people around the world. I have hosted travellers at various times that I've met outside of couchsurfing, and try to offer my space when it's available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met the most friendly, wonderful, diverse group of people who have been so generous with their time and space.

Interests

I do a lot of volunteering, a lot of mindless internet time, and a lot of talking about life in general.

I'm a youth worker with a passion for helping young people realise their strengths and abilities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Modest Mouse and Sufjan Stevens both rank number 1 in my life. Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Eels, Death Cab for Cutie, etc!

Non fiction books are what I usually read, anything from biographies to architecture to histories of physics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise over Angkor Wat, 4000+km roadtrips all around Australia, blowing bubbles with kids in Laos, flat tyres in remote Himalayas.

Recently traveled to India for a good friend's wedding - so many colours, great food, and all of the lovely affectionate Indian mothers and aunties a girl could ever want.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a bike repair hobbyist who also loves tinkering and creating things with big tools. If I can tinker with it, I could fix it.

My passion is in teaching, youth work and I have a pretty extensive knowledge of sexual health education! You'll often catch me cornering the kids I work with to teach them safety tips whether they like it or not.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer to cook a meal and probably burn it! As an Australian, it's my duty to say that I will be more than happy to share a glass of wine, beer or gin and talk about whatever comes up.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, India, Indonesia, Laos, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
