ABOUT ME

We are a friendly couple who is interested in different cultures. We like to travel and meet people around the world. It's nice to see the way of their lives and their customs.
We both got our medical degree in Russia. After graduation Yuriy worked few years as anatomy teacher in the Medical University and defended there his thesis with a degree of Candidat of Medical Sciences. Katja did internship in General Medicine. We came to Finland in 2007 and now we are Postgraduate Students. Yuriy's research field is neurobilogy with a specialization in spinal cord injury. Katja's field is mainly Alzheimer's disease.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are happy to host and meet CSrs from all over the world. We think that spending some time with locals add wonderful experience to our travel. Also we had very nice moments when we hosted travelers or surfed their couches.

We were told about CouchSurfing at the beginning of 2009 when we were travelling around Austria.

2012. August. Hosted A. Hoffmann (Berlin, Germany)

Interests

We would say that we have a lot of interests and hobbies which can change from time to time depending on our mood, weather and many other things. Yuriy's 3 main hobbies are: travelling, fishing, and drinking beer in a good company. Katja also like travelling and especially reading and watching movies.
