ABOUT ME

I'm probably one of the most easy-going people you'll ever meet. I'm pretty quiet, a bit of a nerd, even a recluse, but as friendly as they come.

A couple of years ago I got rid of my apartment and all but a bag of clothes and now I travel while I work with my laptop. I like to travel slow, spending a month in a city at a time. I learn more about the city this way, rather than just see the tourist sites and begin to feel like a local, plus travelling this way costs no more than living at home.

PHILOSOPHY

Time is not money, it's worth far more than that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I first joined, I hosted 5 people in the span of a month. I found I really learnt a lot about my own city by hosting people from out of town. Today I don't really have a place to host. I've never actually stayed on a couch but have found CS to be a great place just to meet people when I'm travelling and find out what's going on in the city.

I'm interested in something different everyday and rarely will I be interested that same thing tomorrow.

I have eclectic music tastes. I grew up on alternative rock but today my favourite genres are 80s New Wave and Ndombolo (it's Congolese pop music and yes, I can do the dance)

Favourite movies are 2001, Inglorious Bastards, Apocolypse Now and the Indiana Jones Trilogy (4th one doesn't count)

I only read for information, not into fiction, so whatever I'm interested in at the time is what I'm reading about.
