ABOUT ME

Hi my name's Poppy and unfortunately unlike many other people on couchsurfing i do know where i will be for the next wee while...EDINBURGH! I guess the one good thing about that is if any of you are coming to Edinburgh and need a friend the chances are i will be here! However, sadly don't have a sofa right now :(
In Edinburgh i am a student at the University of Edinburgh, studying Chinese, East Asian Civilization and Persian, which is all good fun. I've just spent the past 2 years working, travelling and studying in China. I was an English teacher working in sounthern China for a year, then a student/tutor in Shanghai for one year studying Chinese! I love to travel and meet new people and in the past 2 years i've dont a little traveling in China, Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia! My next big trip is spending about 2-3 months in Malawi working as a manual laborer on the construction of a bee keeping centre which me and a group of 6 others are currently trying to raise the money for! I haven't been to Africa before so i'm really looking forward to that and hoping to do some volunteering or traveling after our project is complete!
Well if anyone is in Edinburgh and wants to meet for a drink or coffee just let me know and hopefully i'll be free!
