About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i should update this page...

ABOUT ME

Most times I'm full of energy, yet I like some lonesome peace too, esp. if I can have it somewhere in nature. I can sing all day, almost the same goes for dancing.. I love to walk around the streets of Athens & esp. to climb up its hills, where air is more & I feel more free. And I like hiking & biking & swimming on our beautiful islands (cooking at the beach is awesome!)
I like speaking language(s), that's more or less what I study, Greek Literature & Linguistics.

I truly enjoy sleeping early under the stars at a silent beach. I wake up next morning and complain about mosquitos though :P

PHILOSOPHY

"Wo aber Gefahr ist, waechst das Rettende auch" (but where there is danger, there grows salvation too) Friedrich Hoelderlin

"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only at night."
Edgar Allan Poe

Imperare sibi maximum imperium est. Seneca
Πλούτος ο της ψυχής πλούτος μόνος εστίν αληθής. Λουκιανός

"Now if you're sad and you're feeling blue
Go out and buy a brand new pair of shoes and go down... down to Tangie town.. cause people down there really like to get it on, get it on..." the Doors :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was hosted by several people in Germany this summer while traveling and I've met several people in Athens for a walk/chat/drink. I recently had my very first CS guest as well!
Apart from that, I try to spread the word and convince my friends to discover the amazing new world of couchsurfing!!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several really nice people hosted me in Germany & Norway, I've hosted only one till now, but I've met quite a lot of people for a walk or a drink etc. Love it and want to keep going!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafting is great! Couchsurfing too!

An amazing thing I've *read* is the story of a French couple, who went around the world on bicycles for 14 years. They had a baby on the way too! And they even did volunteer work for a year in refugee/wounded camp in Cambodia during the Cambodia-Vietnamese war.
the book: "Le tour du monde a velo" by Claude & Francoise Herve.
