HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still learning.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in France in 2011. I stayed with a French couple for 2 nights, they cooked 1 night, took me to see some sights and we chatted for a long time about nothing in particular. I also stayed with a German lady, her Japanese husband and their son, who at 8 already speaks 4 languages. CS is impressive so far.

ONE THING DISAPPOINTING

I always read profiles and I always write a personalized request. I also try to host as much as possible. But still, I feel like I get so many NO's, and worse, after writing thoughtful requests, all I get is a "Sorry but we are not available." and that's it, I know hosts are under no obligation to write much II host), but some replies seem so cold. Is it because I'm American? :(

Intereses

Outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, etc. Trying new food. Meeting new people. Love to read, watch movies and good TV. I enjoy cooking for my friends, family and CS'ers.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Traveling alone is pretty amazing...amazingly scary at times, but quite empowering and liberating at the same time. Doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb was a pretty cool thing I've done.
