ABOUT ME

I'm a design/illustration intern at a company in SoHo. I draw a lot in my free time, hang out with friends, swing dance, sometimes I'll try to bake something delicious and sometimes it works. I love 24/7 diners and long road trips, among other things. I'm a giant nerd with social skills. I travel along the east coast as much as I can to satisfy my wanderlust, but I've still never been out of the country.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly mooching off of my friends' couches when I travel, but I do try to host when I can. If nothing else, I play tour guide for people out of town and show them the best place to grab a bite to eat around town.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Movies: Top favorites are Amelie, Big Fish, Princess Bride, but I have to limit it to three or I'd go on forever. I love film as an art and as a form of entertainment. I don't want TV so much anymore, but some of my favorites of the past include Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me, Community, and Cowboy Bebop.

Music: Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Ben Folds, Kaki King, Anamanaguchi, Bon Iver, Modest Mouse. Lately i've been digging Local Natives, Avett Brothers, and Freelance Whales.

Books: I haven't sat down and read a novel in an embarrassingly long time, but I re-read Good Omens recently and loved it again. Just finished reading the Scott Pilgrim series and the first volume of Marvel's Runaways.

Oh man. Ask me about my recent adventure to Nashville, I dare you. I also traveled to Cambridge, MA to attend the xkcd Dream Girl meet-up in 2007 and that was pretty awesome.
