About Me

I am going on a long road trip to the Pacific Northwest, then down thru Cali and Arizona. Want to meet lots of new people, explore new foods to bring back home to my restaurant, and learn as much as I can. I’ve been waiting to take this trip for a long time and can’t wait to start it!

For the last 5 years, I’ve lived and breathed my business. I started the first food cart in the town I live in, and expanded to a restaurant this past summer. I work out regularly, am trained to teach yoga, and value everything regarding taking the best care of our mind and body. My biggest passion is self growth and personal development.

If we take care of ourselves (thru healthy food, yoga, etc) and work together (bartering, sharing, creating community), we can make this a very amazing experience. It's not up to each of us to change the world, but we can change our own world and get with people doing the same. I want to play my small part in making this happen wherever I am at the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started out primarily as a surfer, but have now hosted a half dozen surfers, which has been great. I'm looking at getting back to more surfing, so that feels exciting.

All extremely positive. The people i've met have changed my view of the world for the better. The couchsurfing mindset needs to spread to epic proportions and change how things are done in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fight Club is my fav book. I can’t tell you how much it has effected my life. I’ve taken so many things from this regarding minimalism, non attachment, and other wisdom from this book and applied it to my life. Also like the guide to better leading series (business) by Ari Weinzweig. Celestine Prophecy, Vagabonding, 4-hour work week.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My restaurant, the Hungry Hippie, is the first food cart turned restaurant in the city I grew up in. It is my biggest accomplishment thus far in life and I can’t wait to see what the future holds as this business grows.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When staying somewhere, I’m a pretty solid dishwasher, like making juice/smoothies, and am a really easy person to have stay.
