I'm a Canadian English teacher living in China. I travel a lot, I'm friendly and I like meeting people, and when I can travel and make friends at the same time that's terrific. I'm a nerdy guy. I have a huge number of interests, and I like people. I want to see the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

Queens of the Stone Age is my favourite band. My favourite movies, well, it's impossible to choose, but I love high quality kids movies (Wall-e, Moana, The Jungle Book (60's version), horror. Anything very well made really. I can be a film/tv snob. Ask me why animation can attain a higher level of realism than reality TV.

I've read a lot of literature, but in recent years I mainly listen to audiobooks. I'm not picking a favourite, again, but I like sci-fi, fantasy, crime. My favourite author is probably David Foster Wallace. Infinite Jest was a magnificent beast

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went climbing on Huashan near Xi'An, and they have what's called the angel's walk, which is a two foot step over a very high cliff. You clip onto a chain and move along the walkway. I had a lot of fun holding onto the chain and leaning way over the edge, 1000 metres above the ground.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share booze, good food, great movies, I know a lot about computers and if you're having computron problems I can probably help, and ideally I'd love to go for a walk.
