I am quite the unapologetic nerd. I like video games, just as much as I like watching science or diy engineering videos on YouTube. I also probably watch an unhealthy amount of TV series.

Contrary to the impression the first sentence might give, I do like to move from time to time and when I do, you might find me Lindy Hopping to a nice jazz song, hiking with friends, or biking around the city to clear my mind. I also used to be an avid Geocacher, if you don't know what that is, look it up ! It can go quite well with Couchsurfing, but in all honestly at the time of writing it's been a few years since I last checked the app, so no clue how much it's changed since I was last a part of the community.

Also, just to get it out of the way and also to warn the people who might be lagging behind modern society, I am bisexual and I've been in a gay relationship for over 6 years. This is not something I tend to start a conversation with as it should not matter to anyone and we should be free to just be, but on an app like this, it tends to be an important detail that if not shared can lead to some very awkward or even unsafe situations. If you have an issue with this, and I've made the mistake of requesting to stay with you, I don't need a response, you can simply decline and go about your day.

With that out of the way, if you come to visit Plovdiv, my bf and I can show you around the city (as long as we're not at work ofc). I can also guide you around Asenovgrad and some nice and short hike trails in the area. We can give recommendations for good restaurants and sights, or offer a chill night with board games/video games. Alternatively we can also leave you be, if that's what you would prefer. 😅

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see it as a tool for meeting great people that have seen the world. And I can use it to travel the world at an ease, experience real culture, not one made for tourists.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of movies I like comedies, fantasy, sci-fi, animated, romances, as well as horror. Pretty much everything.

In terms of music, I can really say I listen to everything and nothing at the same time. I tend to be out of the loop on current music, but I enjoy all kinds of genres of music, from smooth jazz to death metal, from classical opera to Turkish psychedelic rock or Norwegian regetton.

For books I enjoy fantasy, futuristic, horrors, brain teasers.

For TV Series the list would be quite long. I legit have an app to keep track of what I have watched or have upcoming, but thanks to the app, I can see that my watching history shows 62% drama (because I clearly thrive on emotional chaos), 41% comedy (gotta balance the trauma), 34% fantasy (dragons > reality), 32% adventure (I like stress with scenery), and 30% action (sometimes explosions = peace).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed friends with my ex-girlfriend, such good friends, that she currently lives with me and my boyfriend... I know it sounds crazy, many have told us. If we meet, you too can ask us all about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could try and show you some basic steps in Lindy Hop, but I am much better at talking for long enough to jump 15 subjects, forget 13 of them, then jump to another one, and then ask you to tell me how our conversation started. I will never be offended if you interrupt me to interject, I sometimes get too passionate and forget to make pauses for others to join, I promise it's not on purpose.

Other than great TED talks, I can also bring some traditional drinks or stuff from Bulgaria, if you would be interested.

If I'm traveling with the boyfriend, he can cook you something really tasty and probably give you a better Lindy Hop lesson.
