ABOUT ME

I moved to San Francisco in 2007, and just recently moved to Menlo Park. I'm originally from Santa Barbara, and if I were to try to describe myself, I'd have to say first and foremost that I'm an optimist and a laid-back, all-around happy person. I love learning and have a very curious and adventurous mind, which has led me to live overseas (Germany & Japan), travel extensively (over 80 countries so far) and learn several foreign languages. I'm well-educated, open-minded, and can talk comfortably and reasonably intelligently about almost any topic. I'm a professional with a background in engineering/high-tech and management, but work/life balance is very important to me, so I will never let my job or career completely rule my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't had one yet through CS, but I did spend the night with a Bedoin family in their tent in Wadi Rum, Jordan, and with a Mongolian family in their ger (yurt) on the Mongolian steppes.
