HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted whilst living in NZ and also travelled with several couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Its always amazed me how many people are involved with CS. While i've been travelling whenever I mention CS its always great to hear others stories.

Interessi

I'm a traveller at heart...I grew up travelling around Europe on holiday with my parents. When I turned 18 I left the UK and headed to Fiji to spend 6 months volunteering for a marine conservation project. After Fiji I went to New Zealand where I worked and travelled until I decided to come home and do a tourism management degree. After university I headed back to New Zealand and spent 18months living and working in Mt. Cook. New Zealand will hold a special place with me, it feels like my second home...after NZ I headed over to OZ and spent 8 months working and travelling the country. I'm now back home but know there are many places I still want to go on my travels so who knows how long I'll be back for.

I love the outdoors whether its hiking, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, theres too many activities to list but there's not many I wouldn't get involved with. I also a big lover of music, I guess when your travelling my ipod becomes a great companion. As does my camera, another passion of mine which recently has taken on more of a serious choice career wise. I guess the dream would be to travel and be able to photograph along the way and somehow make enough to get by.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Standing on the edge of a cliff (Preikestolen) and looking down a Fjord in Norway.
Taking helicopter flights around the Southern Alps in NZ.
Camping on the side of a mountain in a remote location in NZ and then in the morning watching the sun come up.

There seems to be a running theme with mountains!

Wreck diving on the Um El Faroud in Malta (slightly terrifying).
Diving with bull sharks and manta rays.
Going black water rafting and caving.
